Be sure to read about our very own Podcast Rock Stars, new neighbors Rebecca Sheir and Eric Shimelonis at www.berkshireeagle.com/stories/rock-stars-of-the-childrens-podcast-world.

Rebecca and Eric are the very talented and creative folks responsible for Circle Round, a storytelling podcast for children and “the young at heart.” Each segment at Boston NPR affiliate WBUR features traditional folktales served up in new ways and told by well-known performers.

Our favorite? “Why the Ocean is Salty” with Lou Diamond Phillips. Find your favorite at www.WBUR.org, go to Programs and Podcasts, then Circle Round. Download the podcasts on iTunes by searching for  “Circle Round” in the  “Kids & Family” category. (We also love the coloring pages and thoughtful activities for each story.)

  • Many thanks to Thom Lipiczky for designing and creating the classy new custom book supports on our shelves. He promises more to come!
