A graduate of Radcliffe College, Susan studied art at Boston Museum School, the Corcoran in Washington DC, and with Anne-Marie Evans at the English Gardening School in London. She received a certificate in Botanical Painting from the Society of Botanical artists in England in 2007.

Her paintings have been exhibited in New York; Washington DC; Portland, Oregon; Great Barrington, Ma; Lowell, Ma;  Pomfret, Ct;  Pittsfield, Ma, and in Paris and Perigueux, France.  In addition, she has participated in several of the American Society of Botanical Artists’ juried exhibitions at the New York Horticultural Society.

MARGIE WILL DISPLAY SEVERAL EXAMPLES OF HER NEW COLLECTION OF HAND MADE (NOT WHEEL THROWN) PIECES MADE WITH SLABS, COILS, PINCHING AND VARIOUS TEXTURES

PREVIOUS EXHIBITS FEATURED HER ASIAN AND SMOKE FIRED SOUTH-WESTERN INFLUENCED POTTERY.

SHE CURRENTLY WORKS AT GREENWICH HOUSE POTTERY IN NEW YORK CITY AND IS 183 IN STOCKBRIDGE.    

Edna St. Vincent Millay: From City Lights to Simple Stone

Holly Peppe, Millay's Literary Executor, and Mark O'Berski, Vice President of the Millay Society, will present an illustrated talk about Millay's life and career from her early days in the Village to her country life at Steepletop in Austerlitz, NY, where her house and gardens are now open for visitors.  Millay's personal connection to the town of West Stockbridge and the Berkshires will be explored.  Dr. Peppe, who edited the Penguin and Harper's editions of Millay's poems, will share stories about her friendship with the poet's sister and include selected readings.
